Year 7

Year 7 students experience a change in the style of English they study when they arrive in Secondary. Year 7 is where the students begin to acquire skills for English language and literature study that they will develop throughout Key Stages 3-5. The programme of study for Year 7 explores a variety of genres and text types: gothic writing, drama, poetry, the development of language, and novel study. In Year 7, students will be prepared for the demands of Secondary English and will write both creative and analytical pieces.
